Hi stu,
I hope you dont mind. I did a simple levels adjustment to the first image. it looked rather dull. I think this massively adds to the realism. I also added a white gradient to horizon and clone stamped some foliage to the left to fill out edge a bit. The last image is killer!! really nice! glass looks a bit weird but the plants and rocks certainly make up for it!
I also added a different version with a crudely masked-in sky! cos i think a nicer sky can really add to the image, the original had a bit too much magenta in i think. I think with a new sky it looks like a photograph....if you mask it properly lol

Thanks Oli..no probs ........that is an improvement!....but maybe just emphasises the rocks a bit much?
Re: Front Garden
yeah i suppose, i didn't really notice tbh. all the highlights are raised. could just magic wand them and darken.

Re: Front Garden
Stu,
These do look nice. My only crit would be that the plants are not so nice. It is obvious they are png's used as a "face me" component. The last image has plants growing from the sidewalk. png's just dont give enough depth to be used in the foreground. The first image has some obvious png style shadows. I am sure part of this is based on time available for the project and client budget.

Re: Front Garden
Thanks Scott!
The PNGs are actually Skp. files which are easy to insert and yes, I usually make them 'face me'
2D images arent perfect but plants are my bread and butter and they offer a huge variety...I've got about 6500 of them
BUT!!...the shadows!!....I disregarded my first, iron-clad, set-in-stone, never-to-be-ignored rule......shoot with the sun coming over your shoulder!!!!
