not going to win any awards here
at the time I purchased the computer about a 1 1/2 ago (from Costco), was thinking my primary use would be autocad and some revit here and there...since then, got more and more exposed to SketchUp/et al and am liking it very much...

not quite ready to throw away the computer yet...upgraded the graphics card from the original intel 3100 to an ATI Radeon HD4650 1G card...now OpenGL functions in Photoshop work but haven't noticed that much of a difference...

what would be first upgrade I should consider to improve speed and performance for this setup? CPU? thanks!

A bit slow, but this is what I deal with for my school machine. It is a laptop, though. Some of you guys have some great machines!

Nice machine!
Something seems odd how bright the light is at the base, did you change any settings? (exposure, or lighting)

It sure beats my old comp and was a good price at under £600

I thought it looked a bit bright as well but I rendered straight from opening up the file. I also thought the brass fitting below the glass shade was bright also.
