I have the model again revised. only a test. the light is too bright and too white. I have the wall and the window and perhaps even change the candle. I need any suggestions, please

looking even better :^:
this is really a great rendering and scene!

I have a few more suggestions if you are interested. (assuming this is a fun learning scene for you to work on)

The lighting is most important and hardest part (presuming you got your materials right). I like some aspects of the lighting here, and some in the original render. You will want to use light emitting surface materials if rendering in Easy 09. They give most realistic results and better looking caustics with glass. (magnifying glass)

the material on the candle holder and the globe stand is not looking convincing or attractive.

hello fletch and other user, thanks for your help. now I've seen how difficult it is to render professional. First you have to learn the basics. I now have some bump maps incorporated and processed correctly.

 it's beautiful, Sofie. It's definitely a "gallery" image.
Floor and wall textures would still benefit from being higher resolution.

There are many great free material packs available at Kerkythea's website.
free hi-res wood floor textures Image AND another fantastic set of hi-res wood flooring - all ready to use.
free hi-res plaster wall texture and material ready to use another one... calc stone texture ... more hi-res surface materials
aged looking materials ... wood plank flooring

How to install Kerkythea Material Libraries to use with Twilight Render.

First I need to say I love the image, like the whole setting and lightning!

The only thing I like to mention is that I am somehow distracted by the background image through the window.
Is this a through a window and why does it appear to be a blue sky but is it tinted brownish/dark, if it was a sunset the (what appearedto be) blue sky should be more purple and here it looks like the original image is a clearblue sky with some clouds...
Also the perspective doesn't seem right to me (but that can be me of course 8-) )

BTW how did you light the candle, it is very natural and authentic looking?!
Regards, Ron

Thank you for your praise. It is not perfect, maybe some small errors. but I'm still learning. the candle is from the Google warehouse. from 3 models I have built the candle (combined). yes the sky is a picture. all other models are from me, except the first book. The next model will be better. I've learned a lot in the forum. thank you
