Fast Exterior Rendering

For fast outdoor / exterior renderings with no blotches, try this:

1. Light scene with HDR loaded into Spherical Sky or use Spherical .jpg in the Spherical Sky.
2. render with Animation>Low+Object Animation or Medium+Object Animation. It may surprise you how fast they render.

This animation was done precisely this way, except was lit with hires spherical .jpg. It rendered each frame at HD 1920px wide quality in approximately 3mins (corei7-8threads)
