Blow!

Post by massimo » Sun May 15, 2011 3:35 pm

Everybody plays with Twilight...
The bubble was modeled with FFD+Artisan plugins. A HDRI used as lighting, 10.Interior+, 20 passes. In post pro the image was only slightly sharpened, cropped and then was added the photo of the kid. :)

:o dang...
Although I'm sure I will never need to make such a render, it's awesome...!!
How did you make the soap bubble material...??
Cheers

Well me neither Kim.

Just put an iridescent procedural in the reflectance slot of a thin glass in KT in order to simulate the interference and play a bit with parameters. You can also mix together two thin glass in a layered material: one with a white colour in the reflectance and the other with the iridescent procedural in order to have a smoother effect.
For this render I've used a "simple" thin glass material and only changed the "variance" of the iridescent procedural to 0.15. ;)

:D Excellent as usual!

I thought there was a bubble material in the Iridescents for Twilight.
If not, remind me and I will find the one I created a long time ago.
