it comes standard with 6Gb RAM and is only $70 for the extra 2Gb to take it to 8Gb
....indeed a desktop would give me more 'grunt' but it is about mobility for the time being and will certainly be better than the dual core laptop i use at the moment....the plan is to upgrade to a faster desktop machine in the office later in the year.
during the day i tend to do CAD work on the office desktop and modelling on the laptop, take the laptop home, tweak the models and render during the evenings...it's a habit i have grown into over recent years
