Pushing Su and Twilight to the limit...(my version) advice

First of all, thanks to Fred for allowing me to use his design, therefore, design and material selction credits go to Fred.
This render is only 30 path as it took around 20 hours and I was impatiant LOL.
I have many comments on my wrok and still need yours as will to improve.

This is looking great, George! Good work.

The two major problems that stand out to my eye:
The floor shininess should be increased, and the couch and pillow models need a lot of work.

Hi George,

I am impressed, how can you setup the scene like this ? Following only a picture... :^:
1-About the sofa, and the pillow I am agree with flech, find a bettre model.
2-The tiling seems strange to my eyes, maybe too big, and increase the shineness at 140000 :o yes yes 140000...
3-The ies file is not really nice, change with the one attached here

I have done a small PP as I do for my render, Topaz denoise, contrast, etc...

Good start... ;)

Fymoro,

Frankly this is my first experience wit IES file! I tried to open it using PP but it came out to be blank white :) can you please advice how to open it and use it

The ies I attached is in a rar file open it, and you will find "0018.ies" go to your model and into the spotlight you put, load the file, and try it... ;)

You know, when i sow your SU file I thought you were using light emmitter, it took me many hours trying and finally decided to use spot light, now I understand.

Here is my last practice using ies, thanks to Fred, I forgot to apply ies to some of the sopts lol :) I need comments to improve more please

It is very difficult to critique such a nice image.

Some tiny things...
I would perhaps use a warmer color for the cover lighting on the ceiling, and the rough wood texture on the right... I think it may be some wood panels I know of, but then I am not sure. It is perhaps too repetitive as a texture. Lastly, the reflection/shine on the floor attracts my eye, but not in an attractive way, however I am not sure why. For the floor, you may want to use a real photo of a real material you are trying to match, and work from that.

Thanks Fletch for your comments, frankly I use the attache granite texture but not sure why it didnt show?!
I used refraction (1.1) and shiness (14000) any suggestions
