Pretty Cool Fletch!
Re: Proper Animation - Building Progress
Fletch;
you have said "I render the whole sequence in Twilight Render"
and your video looks great but I have been trying to render an animation and every time I
try i only am getting the scenes and not the animation with the proper animation plugin.
what did you do that I am doing wrong? I have followed you example and it dosn't seem to work for me.

Jay,
Have you read the User Manual? See the link in my signature below.
Read the section about rendering animations.
Essentially, you need to be sure that in the Twilight Render Dialog Animation Tab you have "has animated objects" chosen.
If the animation is working in SketchUp, then you will get the rendered .jpg sequence from Twilight.
Be sure you follow the User Manual instructions carefully. (It's quite simple, when you get the hang of it)

Thanks. I am glad I now know where to come for advice. I will go through it again. knowing me there ia one important sentence that i skipped.
Re: Proper Animation - Building Progress
I'm guessing that in your SketchUp Animation options (not in Twilight, but in SketchUp) you have "scene delay" greater than 0. If it's set to 1 or 2, then you will have many still frames.
Re: Proper Animation - Building Progress
this is great fletch..... great job... you made one of my dreams come true
Re: Proper Animation - Building Progress
@Fletch
How have you made the pilars growing ?
Proper animation moves objects but grow ?
Or you hide them and move bottom to the top behind something ?
Animation by sections Planes/groups are supported by Twillight?
(seems kills animation by planes!
I have the good images at the screen of SU (moving objects and animation object by section planes)
but only good moving objects on the screen of Twillight, and just one last position objects by animation section planes!

Does this allways true ?SketchUp's Section Cuts are not rendered automatically in Twilight.
However, plugin ruby scripts like “Zorro2” by Whaat are available which can be
used to modify a model quickly for rendering a section perspective.
Re: Proper Animation - Building Progress
All objects, including the growing columns are simply moved from out of view to be in position. So the columns are just moving from below ground to above ground.
In Twilight v.2.0 rendering of animation of section planes will be a nice new feature.
You will even be able to render an animation of an object moving while the animated section cut is moving.

Fletch. That news about Twilight v.2.0 just brought a HUGE smile to my face. I can't wait.
