Need Help & Willing to pay $100.

Post by Forge » Sun Oct 21, 2012 8:48 pm

This is not a scam or a joke. I honestly need help on a project very quickly.

Ill cut to the chase. I simply do not have time to wade through the gazillions of web pages, online tutorials and meanderings that are associated with trying to find simple and concise answers to basic questions before I purchase software.
I looking at Twighlight, V-ray, SU Podium and several others.

I am willing to purchase Twighlight right now if I can obtain a little direction from a pro. If you are a pro and interested in helping me out, just shoot me an email. I have attached a sample floor plan render that I am trying to emulate (shadow and lighting). I have created a Sketchup render (my own simple floorplan) and just need some help properly creating the shadowing like the one attached. It being Sunday afternoon, I betting only the pros are on the board right now.

I will pay $100 for the first reply that can help me out (about 30 minutes). It should be an EASY and quick $100 for someone with only basic Twilight skills.

WHEN I OBTAIN HELP I WILL UPDATE THIS THREAD.

My profile email is garbagecan@labvabit.com.

Thank you!
Eric Smith

I'll let one of the more experienced modelers take the prize, but while you are waiting for that you can look at this.
  • Open the Sun/Sky editor by clicking on Plugins -> Twilight -> Light Editor, then clicking on the Sun / Sky tab.
  • Change the background to sky color
  • For background color, change to a light gray (200,200,200)
  • Uncheck next to Sunlight enabled.
That will get you part way.

Ha, looks like Chris beat me to it.

I will assume you have a model that looks like the one in the picture.
I will assume you have downloaded Twilight and it's working properly.

Set your model on a rectangle that is slightly bigger than your model, so that it appears to have a white ground plane surrounding your building.
position your camera exactly as in the picture shown.
hide or delete all glass from your windows.

Open the Light Editor Dialog for Twilight.
Uncheck the Enable Sun checkbox
Change the Sky Type to "Sky Color" (NOT "background color" but be sure it is "Sky Color")
Set the color of your sky to a very light grey. 92% grey should do it.

Render with Easy 09 render setting.

For reflecting floor surfaces, apply Template>Plastic>Shiny and change the shininess value until you are satisfied.
For glass, use Template>Architectural Glass>No Shadow
