Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Alvydas - yes the curtain is from your material pack, thanks for sharing.
JPalm - Yes it is an outlet. The room model is from the Indigo Render website, it was shared for a competition. I kept the space the same, just set up the furniture and lighting and created the materials.

I finally had some time to revisit the model and made some changes based on everyone's comments - This is still a WIP as I'm not happy with the lighting. The original scene had a large invisible light emitting plane to above the camera to supplement the daylight. When I added the sink, the brushed metal was reflecting the invisible light very brightly so I scaled it down and moved it. I think my next step will be to add recessed lighting throughout the room so I can delete the invisible light. I also feel that the scene is still lacking a focus, so I will try to correct that. Thanks again for all of the suggestions, any additional feedback to help me finalize this would be great.

something seems wrong with the floor - maybe bump is too strong?
The ceiling is boring - maybe you can add some soffits and/or lighting?
The kitchen counter model seems odd - perhaps work surface is too thin? The model of the foreground needs to be well modeled since it's so close to the cam.
The materials on the metals in the kitchen and the kitchen counter top seem not quite right.

There's an awkward light passthrough or reflection on the lampshade by the window, did you used a glass material for it?
I have to agree about the floor and the kitchen counter, you should even resize the floor texture to a smaller size.

It's been a while since I've had a chance to do any rendering. I decided to revisit this old scene that I never finished. I kind of rushed through the kitchen island so I'd like to start over with that... but in the meantime, here is another view. Rendered on Easy09 for about 12 hours, and a little level adjustment in Photoshop.

Thanks Fletch, I have another version of this view in the works with some lights turned on, but a real project keeps getting in the way. Hopefully I'll have something to post soon.

I keep coming back to look .
I need a better computer and more education to get this result.
