Very nice. I think the overall appearance is very realistic. The table and cabinet texturing is not really to my liking, but I the rest of the texturing is great.

Looking good, a nice composition.

I would try a different wood texture on the table and cabinet and maybe add 4 lights to those inset ceiling fittings.

The diffuser glass on the pendant light fixtures above the table could use the "real glass>heavy frosted" template ;)
just be sure you build them as solids that are about 1/16" thick.

or use the Material Library "Translucent>Milk" ... I've had really good luck with that one. It may not technically be 100% physically accurate but looks great Or use any from the "Lampshade_Twilight" library I know someone who worked very hard on those for this exact purpose. :D

Okay.. second try.. Didn't turn the lights on, cause I'm still strugling to understand the lights well.. :?
Rendered in easy-low, and it took me 7 hours (C. duo). Did several things here:
1. Changed the lampshade for the material that someone worked very hard on for this exact purpose.. :D thanks whoever you are..!!
2. Tried the DOF.. ;)
3. Had a little trouble with the bottle glass (the cork is floating, don't know what happened to that part of the bottle.. ), and the wine is too watered-down (shouldn't have put on ice to the wine! )
4. I added one of the skies that Fletch so generously posted, and BTW.. it gave this strange "greenish-blueish" colour to the room.. :? How do I change this?
5. There is a skyportal at the glass door behind the camera, and I set the sun to 8, but still had to tweak the exposure to 2.2. Would have liked a little more "brightness", but then the sky at the back would seen even more saturated.

Would love feedback!!.. :D

in Photoshop, when you do a "levels" adjustment, there are 3 little eye droppers... one of them is "white" ... click it, and choose anything you want white, but is appearing blue or greenish, and it will fix the whole image... 2s when you know what you're doing. Don't know how to do this in Gimp, maybe another will chime in.

Changing brightness or turbidity of spherical sky is a way to also change things on the background images.
