Good morning everyone. Yes It's been a long time! 2014 has been a whirlwind year and unfortunately I've had to concentrate on the business and not so much the renders. With Rohgan Thompson now well and truly trained up I'm sure he will post some great images with a little of my influence.
Firstly I'd like to say what an amazing effort Chris, Fletch and the team have made on launching V2! The possibilities are endless and I can already see our renders getting even better. The great thing about V2 is that it is as easy or as hard as you want to make it. Deep materials is mind boggling and I know I've got a lot to learn to even scratch the surface.
However I have produced my first render in V2 and I love it. It's quicker, sharper and more realistic
C&Cs welcome

Re: My First V2 Render
Another good one Dan. Are you using HDRI or a background image? and has the customer ordered it yet?
Re: My First V2 Render
Hi Nick.
I've never been able to get on with HDRIs so it's actually a wall with an image in the background reduced opacity to 70% otherwise the image looks too vivid.
Yes we have got the order and start fitting in a couple of weeks.

Re: My First V2 Render
This is lovely I have no comments for improving, it's perfect as is.
Re: My First V2 Render
This looks great! My only comment is that the little can lights in the ceiling would be glowing white. You could either add an emitter face or just photoshop in the white ellipses. Great job. A small lens flare on the cans could be interesting as well but that is all personal preference. Great job.

Looks really great, but I guess the floor looks to have a little noisy reflection.
