Light through frosted glass?
Light through frosted glass?
Hi all,
I can't seem to figure out how to get light to pass "properly" through frosted glass.
Not even actually sure where to start - here's an image of a bath I'm working on, and as you can see, while the shower area is brightly lit, the light seems reluctant to pass through the frosted glass door.
Any help appreciated!
thanks,
Andrew

Import the material
click your glass with the Twilight Material Eye Dropper
Choose "Tools>Import Library"
Material Libraries>Legacy
Architectural Twilight >Architectural Twilight>Architectural Twilight.xml
Then choose> Frosted Glass (Fast Fake) it looks great, renders fast, and lets light through.

Re: Light through frosted glass?
Ok, found import in the Deep Material Editor. No clue how to get to the library you mention, though. I'll look for it...
Re: Light through frosted glass?
Be sure you have installed the very latest version of Twilight V2 from our website.
The Legacy Materials mentioned in my step-by-step below should automatically show up in the library import window.

Thanks Fletch-
Updated.
I'm not finding the dialog that has an "import library" dialog - only "import", and it defaults to whatever current directory I'm working from.
I'm on OSX - is the process different?
Thanks,
Andrew

Re: Light through frosted glass?
From the Deep Material editor, it is called Import instead of Import Library.
If you do not have the new Import Library window then you are using an old version and should update to the latest.
