Motorcycle Chain (just a little testing)

Post by Tegi » Mon Jun 15, 2015 5:47 pm

Hi Everyone.
after I installed Twilight Pro about autumn 2014, I have neither found the time to work with it nor even to update to the the current version.
Finally I found some time for a first little experiment. I'm really so excited and happy about the quality of the material preset that I've decided
to share my (coincidence-) result here.
The rendering is done with the setting 07 high +, for the arrangement of the single chain components in the center of the picture I used the Sketchy
Physics plugin...

Nice. I've always liked SketchyPhysics (which is why Twilight Render can use it in animations!). I don't think it's 64 bit compatible yet though. I know the SU community has updated some of it but lack access to the code necessary to make it 64 bit compatible.

Top notch work, Tegi! :gj:
What material setting did you use then? I understood from your post that you were going to share it here. It looks like you are using Blurry Metal Template.
You did well with the texture mapping and the sketchyphysics.

This scene reminds me of Ranger Rick's work.

Hi Chris and Fletch - thanks for the compliments!
once again: this whole thing is more coincidence than conscious work :-) except the careful texturing!
Especially the environment lighting (are these two lightsources?) that I used was created only by trying,
but somehow you have to start ...
Anyway, I was happy to receive this material and light quality, what I did not expect so quickly.
Here are the settings, I used for the materials and the environment lighting
