Fredo6's Animator integration ?
Fredo6's Animator integration ?
Have you project to integrate the crazy next plugin of Fredo6?
Re: Fredo6's Animator integration ?
Pilou, I hope they respond to you. Since this product was developed by the same team that developed Thea ( which is in the process of working with Fredo's Animator), I would like to see Twighlight work with Animator as well.
Re: Fredo6's Animator integration ?
Actually we have nothing whatsoever to do with Thea. Just saying.
Anyway, we have spoken to Fredo and are planning on incorporating Animator support.

Re: Fredo6's Animator integration ?
Sorry, I had read somewhere that the products were developed by the same team.
Good news that you are reaching out to Fredo and are working on a solution. I currently only have the Hobby version (us retired guys have a low budget) but am working with Animator and it would be a blast to use some of your capabilities in conjunction with Animator.

Re: Fredo6's Animator integration ?
Any update on you reaching out to Fredo and his Animator plugin?
I am also kind of curious about the water effects upcoming in your version 2.5 and whether they will be available in the Hobby version. One of the things I do with SketchUp is draw car was layouts. I want to use Animator to do an animated version of a car was and one of the challenges I have had is finding good water textures that I can use for various parts of the car wash. The video below will give you some idea of what I am after.

I obviously did something wrong. How do I edit this so you can see the YouTube video?

Re: Fredo6's Animator integration ?
As we said before, we are planning on interacting with Animator. I don't think it's been publicly released yet has it? We may not have integration before Animator's public release (I have absolutely no idea when that will be) but hope to follow soon after.
Regarding the water, you can read a complete description here: http://twilightrender.com/phpBB3/viewto ... =12&t=5351. It is designed to model the depth and scattering of pools of water, ocean, things like that. It is probably not what you are looking for with moving water, water spray, etc.

Re: Fredo6's Animator integration ?
No, it is still in beta. I am one of the bet testers.
While being able to animate a material would really be neat, I think some of the materials I saw in the new materials would look much better than anything else I have tried.

Re: Fredo6's Animator integration ?
Here is an example of how I would potentially use the material without the need for animating the material itself.
Hope this gives you some idea of what I am trying to achieve. Yes, this video is pretty grainy but you get the idea.

Re: Fredo6's Animator integration ?
Made a rendering (using 2.5)to give you a better idea.........
BTW: How to I make the shadows a little dimmer (not as sharp).
This was a quick medium render with very little messing around just to get an idea of how it might look. Now just image this type of imagery in the previous video or with an entire car wash.BTW: How to I make the shadows a little dimmer (not as sharp).
Re: Fredo6's Animator integration ?
Assuming the shadows are cast by the sun, you can make them softer by increasing the 'Haziness'. When cast by a light, you can soften shadows by increasing the size of the light.ntxdave wrote: BTW: How to I make the shadows a little dimmer (not as sharp).
We are working with Fredo right now on inter-operating with Animator. We will make an announcement when it's available (and obviously depending on Animator's public release).
