kitchen with poster edge effect
venturing in allitle bit of an artistic look with this kitchen. orginal model was built in archicad, then sketchup then rendered in twilight, applied the photoshop poster edge effect and lens flares.

another scene from the same model, dining room 40 hr render, texture on table came out a bit strong

These are looking very good! I agree about the table... typically glossy wood has almost no bump, so leaving the bump out of the equation is a better first choice.
The lighting in the second image is a perfect example of how well lighting can look when given the correct colors -
When using the SketchUp View overlay feature - one nice technique is to set the view in SketchUp to Monochrome before rendering, this way it will overlay using the shadowed view, but the colors will be only from the rendering. This can look a bit more elegant in my humble opinion. However, your image in this case is quite nice, if the black lines don't seem a bit too heavy.
