Upcoming Site Maintenance [COMPLETE]

Post by Chris » Thu Jul 21, 2016 2:51 pm

This weekend (7/22 - 7/24) we will be doing some website maintenance as we switch over to SSL secure website (https and all that).

If you see anything weird, just realize that's what's going on. If you find any broken links after the change over, please let us know so we can fix them.

Thanks!

As you will immediately see, we have updated the forum and changed the style. Please let us know if there are *specific* things that need to be fixed or changed. If it's not your preference, I understand, but we have to choose a theme that we think works best overall and this is what we are using. If, however, there are specific issues, like such-and-such is hard to read or such-and-such is to big;small;dark;light; etc., please let us know.

Looking good to me. ☺️

Do kind of miss the link to the home page though and think it would be nice to be able to mark post as Like (kind of like on the SketchUcation forum).

Good job! :gj: :gj:

I noticed that too. I'm not sure, but I will look at what options there are.

My favorite feature of the forum so far is that now we can select multiple images to attach to a post. No longer do we need to select them one-by-one and click "attach". :whoot:

There are "like it / love it" extensions for phpBB but for our new version, the only extensions available are in beta mode. Once (if) they move to fully approved and validated we can install it, but for now we aren't going to include them.

This forum version is pretty new (relatively speaking) and not a lot of developers have moved over to it. So there is a limited number of themes/styles and extensions. We will be on the lookout for useful things though. But already, just in the base upgrade, there are a lot of new features that we are just now discovering.
