I tried the overlay render method at work - wished I read this first!
Can the overlay render with linework be combined in an animation frame render output? Using an image editor is no problem when creating a single image, but becomes much more tricky when outputting a 1000 frames, and the SkUP render path doesn't quite match a TWIL smooth render path.

Yes, it can and does work with animation.

Chris,
OK, thanks for the quick reply; I'll give it another go
edit: Animation render sequence worked fine.
SKUP screen style set to grey lines with everything else white - no shadows. Overlay mix in TWIL.
Individual frame render times seemed to slow down by the time I took the screengrab, the first 1000 or so were in the mid 20's.
Had the occasional black frame & occasional "stutter" between frames, I've put this down to working with other stuff in the background.
Overall render time was over 25 hrs. Being to export this to Kerkythea or a network render system would be great.
Building texture shimmered a wee bit, not a feature of a "non-mixed" TWIL animation test, but not enough to distract the eye too much.
Multiply mix mode seemed to darken all the colours & fatten the linework - overlay gave a more reliable result - I reduced the Gamma to 0.7, added a wee bit of bloom and altered the temperature in TWIL post process.
