Testing the tree models (in a few rendering engines) is incredibly time consuming, but necessary.
I have 25 tree species so far, plus a few 'low poly generic trees' (useful for filling in backgrounds) and each species has several stages of maturity and seasons.
Almost every test has resulted in going back and tweaking the tree models. Texturing and mapping is generally the biggest issue and each rendering engine produces slightly different results.
Also, in Architectural scenes it would be unlikely to use as many trees in a scene as I have in some of these images......and the Skatter grasses have weighed down the render times too, even though it adds a nice dimension to the renders.
With your permission, I'll put a few generic trees in Resources some time in the next few weeks for the Twilight members to use. They will be in .dae format.
