My first animation, not photorealistic rendering

Post by mogogirl » Tue Sep 22, 2009 3:11 pm

For all of you who have been so helpful and patient with my newbie questions...here's a link to my first SU animation using Proper Animation and Smooth Animation plugins. This is not a rendering but I wanted you guys to see what I had been working on. I plan to keep working on learning rendering as I go along. http://www.vimeo.com/6701270 (if they ask for a password, enter "sketchup).

Just so you know, I'm not sadistic...lol, this is a mock-up of an actual accident that took place. I work for a lawfirm and this is one of our clients. The purpose is to hopefully be able to use these models in court eventually. This is my first attempt at a whole model.

Please let me know what you think!

Thanks,
Mary

Very nice!
I would say that you've lost some of the image half way thru the vid... that is, the center of the screen is higher than the action and the gas station is lost below the screen...

but it's clear what happened :D

It looks good. This just goes to show that SketchUp has far more uses than we think.

I hope you try again photorealism as a hobby, mogogirl. Some of us just like to have fun with it.

Thanks! I will probably redo the animation and work with the camera angles a little bit. I was just trying to give an overview of the station.

Cheffey...see my last topic on this forum entitled "I'm just not getting this..." Ecuadorian posted the link to download Smooth Animation...you can get it there. Very easy to use. Just know that after you use the animator you must use a video editor to put it all together. They guys here pointed me towards virtualdub..it works like a charm and automatically downloads all of your frames in order. I highly recommend it if you don't already have it!

Very nice Mary, I'm very impressed how far you got so fast, coming from a non computer graphics background!
Cheers,

Adam
