Have a Sip
Have a Sip
Some more experimenting..... Modeled decanter and glasses a few days ago..... Rendered scene with DOF at 5.6, Easy 10 , 100 passes. Linear tone map , dark 0.60, light 2.0. Used an HDRI for general light and one spotlight to the right side of table. Ran image through Topaz DeNoise and minor sharpened in Gimp.

Re: Have a Sip
Good one!
Ice cubes look a bit too clear imo, but those are indeed a pain in the butt to get right. I did some messing around myself to see what I'd end up with, but just couldn't make them look good

RTD , Thanks and your spot on about the ice cubes. I've done A fair bit of off and on experiments with ice cubes and I.ve gotten close but not spot on yet.

Re: Have a Sip
hey Tuna57, this is a very nice image! Ice cubes are a bit too clear, you know that already, but still nicely modeled/lit/rendered. But everything else really looks nice.
I know you did some post-processing already, but here's the .psd file from this attempt, just for practice.

Re: Have a Sip
Thanks Fletch, as always the help is great! Been doing experiments with the ice cubes as time allows. Will post some results when I get something that suits me .
