Ruby (Dark)

Post by jxmoss » Tue Feb 20, 2018 5:20 pm

Had fun the other day making this Ruby. Stoked how the lighting turned out with the black background. Got to mess around with environmental shading and materials. Enjoy!

Let me know your opinions: :v: or :^:

Would anyone have a link to a good Twilight Render - Lighting Tutorial? Having a hard time figuring it out. Thanks! :!

Number one for this scene is to make sure it is accurate to real world scale.

I would use an HDR studio that would do what you want. No lighting setup at all, in that case. Just load hdr into spherical sky, and voila.

or, just place a black plane behind the model? I'm reminded of "uncompromising black" by Massimo.

Looks interesting! Will look into doing that for my next rendering. :rspkt:
