White turning to black?
Hi! Super new to twilight (as in a week ago) and i'm having an issue where no matter what I do, two large white portions of my project are turning black in the rendering. The color being slightly off I can work with but would love some advice with that as well. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!

This is probably an issue with back faces showing to the camera. Make sure all your front faces are showing if you are experiencing odd materials rendering.

Avoid painting groups, paint only actual faces with a color or material.Sw33tishpenguin wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 2:14 pm and i'm having an issue where no matter what I do, two large white portions of my project are turning black in the rendering.
Make sure all faces are front faces (as Chris mentioned) and paint only front faces - use the Monochrome view style in SketchUp to see which faces are back faces (blue/purple) and front faces(white)
Your grass material is over-saturated. Desaturate the material for the grass by 30% and they will not reflect their color so strongly onto adjacent geometry (do this for all materials with strong color, even white or black, in your scenes - in the case of white or black make them light grey or dark grey. fully saturated colors, whites, or blacks do not exist in real life, so they cause unrealistic results in your renderings.)Sw33tishpenguin wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 2:14 pm The color being slightly off I can work with but would love some advice with that as well. Please follow the "Twilight Render Pre-flight Checklist" before you start rendering. When it's habit, you will find rendering fun and rewarding.

Thank you all so much. I started really digging into this and realized I was not alone and was painting on the gray and not white side. All your advice to everyone here is so invaluable. Thank you so much for you help!
