You're very welcome, Des. I'm glad I could help. You'll find that a fair number of the members here are happy to answer questions, or at least point people to the right threads. Between Fletch and a couple of the regulars here, I managed to survive my first years with TW Render, so it's nice to give back to the community, even if it's just paying forward by helping a new person.

Have a great day!.

Bingo!!!!!

Light Test.jpg

Now, how do I add "GOBO" to that beam?
:^:
choose your spot light open the Twilight lighting dialog and change the light type to "projector" and insert your image of a gobo into that projector light.

Hi Fletch. So, here is what I did.
In the scene, no other objects but only the light, it looks OK.
Gobo Test 02.jpg

But the projector light is way too dark compared to a spot.

Here I added a stage. and here is the problem.

The light beam seems not as smooth as with only the light source in the scene. (Yellow box)
and the beam that suppose to be visible is missing on the stage part. (Red box)

I selected the stage material as Textile/Carpet.

This will be difficult to diagnose without the file. :hat:

Fletch

My file size is big, about 15MB. Can't attach it here. Even I cut things a lot, left only the stage and the light source, it's about 5.3 MB.

Purge the file of unused components and materials.

Hi Fletch.

Here is a second render, look at the stage part and the speakers part (with red circles and red rectangle). Light beams still missing when passing through the stage and the speakers.

And this:

When I look at a different angle, the light beams looks like they were "Behind" the stage and speakers. Which then I think, there is no options as bring selected objects to front or behind in Sketchup. And I was actually create the stage and speakers first, then I create light sources. So the stage and speakers came before the lights. Which I think this is maybe the reasn the light beams were "Behind" the stage and speakers.
I haven't try with a new drawing, but I will try this later. With lights come before objects in Sketchup.
