Entry Hall

Post by JCA131 » Mon Jan 21, 2019 10:12 pm

It's been way too long - A job change a few years ago took me away from modeling and rendering and until the last few weeks I hadn't opened SketchUp in over a year. I had some free time over the weekend and decided to challenge myself to create a scene from an inspiration image I saved a while back. I probably should have let the views render a little longer to clean up some of the noise.

Very pretty! The organic curve of the balustrade(? I'm never sure what those are called  ) makes a nice contrast with the sharp edge line of the opposite side of the steps, ans the lines of the steps themselves. Very nice visual impact and a gorgeous render. :gj: :rspkt:

Ja ne!

Lovely design! (I see I'm not the only guy here saving inspiration pics)
Would like to see that first pic noise free!
Good job on model/lighting/materials :^:

I second what Fletch wrote. Also, it's a pity that, the exterior of the handrail on the left have that annoying diagonal
"line", between lighted and shaded surface. :rspkt:
