Yeah for me lighting is one of the things that I find difficult to get right. I can sit for hours sometimes, tweaking light color and positions. Or maybe I'm just being too picky about it :D Glad you liked it tho!

Oh and the "moonlight" is just one of the exterior lights shining in. Moonlight wouln't come from such a low angle, besides it's overcast ;)

I agree the lighting in this image is especially strong. :^: :hat:
It is a good demonstration of the importance of proper light source color in a rendering.

Getting the materials right took most of the time, maybe I was doing something wrong but surfaces just seemed to be rather dull and non-reflective, even with everything cranked up pretty high in the material settings. But eventually I got it to where it looked alright, other than that I just added a few extra props on the floor, and moved the camera for what I think maked a more interesting shot.

Regarding what Fletch said about the color temperature, this render is the first one where I actually used proper Kelvin values for the lights, instead of just eyeballing it in the color wheel as I used to (altho I gotta say the auto-complete feature in the Kelvin window is rather annoying... or maybe that's just something on my side?). And thanks for the kind feedback on the early renders!
