Materials Sketch Up or Twlight

Post by RichBowen » Tue Jun 11, 2019 10:48 am

Hello,

Apologies if this is a stupid question. I am new to Twilight (using the free version) and am looking to render some interior home designs I have done.

I have downloaded a number of textures from Sketchup Texture Club, to place in my model. My question is should I be using these or should I be using materials inside Twilight? Thanks.

You apply your textures inside of SketchUp using any textures you like.
Then with Twilight you apply a Material Template of your choice to that texture. You can then add a bump map if needed.

Please follow our video tutorials linked in the description below.

Great thanks, so the sketchup material acts as the colour and the Twilight Material sets how light reacts with it? Thanks.

For a simple case, yes, that is a great description of it.
