I managed to find the cause of the problem by making a copy and gradually deleting geometry/components until rendering worked.

The issue was this rug component I downloaded from 3dwarehouse:
https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/ ... a2683/rugs

The component included some kind of V-Ray rendering object. Once I deleted just the V-Ray object, I was able to render the scene normally.

So if you have the same sky-only renders, maybe check the components in your scene for unexpected objects.

cheers

Stu

Thanks for the link. We'll check it out.

You always have to be careful with Warehouse components. Some of those have weird stuff in them.

Glad you were able to identify the problem.

From the link above I downloaded and was able to render the component without issue using the latest version of Twilight Render. :!

It turns out, this issue may be related to here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11088, a bug in our integration with SU2019 regarding the use of SketchUp "images". This will be fixed with TWR 2.13.8 (to be release on 8/22). Once this release is announced, please update to it.

Please update to the latest release found here: https://www.twilightrender.com/index.php/downloads
V2.13.8 corrects the Image issue that was causing renders to be missing pieces.

Hello Guys,

I'm new to the twilight render and have watched many tutorials trying to insert some internal lights in a simple cube but when i come to rendering, it's showing some blueish yellow color, it's pretty frustrating.
Also, in my project I've tried to render some scenes(no added lights, nothing, just a simple room)scene by scene, and it comes weird.(i added some screenshots)
I'm using hobby version of twilight and SketchUp Make version 17.3.116 and every time i try to render it comes that blue color of the sky. I'm almost sure that i'm doing something wrong...
Ram on my Imac is: 24Gb, processor is 3.3 ghz

Please guys help me

Thanx

Stefan

Based on your screenshot, you have your camera projection set to 'Spherical'. You need to change that to 'SketchUp View'. (Click on the camera button, and in the drop down change the "Projection" type.)

Thanx Chris for a fast answer,
It helped me, and i changed it. but definitely i need to continue working and trying to understand more,
now i still have issues creating internal light in a simple box(cannot even immagine how it's gonna go with an actual project in front of me )
Trying to create that internal lights, still finding problems after rendering although everything is set on a sketchup view.

i created a box,
inside that box another one,
now i want to illuminate the space inside,
but first of all i don't see the trace of the target light(it comes, and almost immediately vanish)(the "violet"trace)
i'm sending once more the attachments so you can see what i'm talking about

Thank you once more for the patience.

BR

Stefan

It appears you have Update Content sent to "None". That may be the reason (as none of your geometry is being updated in the scene, nor is your camera view, materials, lights, etc.). It's usually best to leave that on All.

Hi Chris,
thanx once more,
but where do i find that update content which is now as you say set to none :( ?
Can you pls tell me what kind of settings do i need to do in order to be in position to play with internal lights.
As you already can see, i'm new in this, and i feel pretty dumb

btw, i followed the tip you gave me for the first question, and it' looks pretty nice now, but now i need to install additional internal lights, and i'm in complete mess.(see sttached)

Thank you once more! :^:
