G'day folks, I hope you are all staying safe and avoiding politicians like the plague, or a plague anyway.
You may have worked out that I am somewhat of a petrol head and general car fanatic.
Essentially a stripped out racer for road circuits and informal circuits. Nothing extravagant engine wise, a 1.6 litre flat four with a footprint of 132" X 66" with not much in the way of weight should give reasonable shove and all round disc brakes should stop it well for the twisty bits. This is still a WIP but I like to render to check for body alignment etc. The inboard front wheel arch shows an extension towards the cabin with an opening outboard for dissipation of heat from the braking system. I would usually have a bonnet opening to extract air from the front splitter which can add to downforce and improve steering at high speed (Reduces wandering especially in sidewind situations).
Still early doors and the design is already different from the version you see here but the next render is still cooking, any and all comments/criticism welcome. Thanks folks. Note, I have not used a studio because it is so early and I am just checking panels etc.

Thanks folks, the lighter colours are toned down in twilight to give a little differentiation so I suppose yes to that.
I may be a little optimistic but the plan is to have open panels and detailed componants, engine suspension and oil lines etc for a garage/workshop render.

Still more of a test for surfaces and details, more construction which has been a pain with accuracy, something that seems to get worse as a model grows.

I would lower the power of the sun, if it is default 5, set it to 4 or maybe 3.
And/or I would lower the brightness of the white color of the car.

Thanks Fletch, very handy but I have not really got to that stage yet. I have been considering using the Porsche colour swatch set when I can get a good sample (Source in hand but not yet) so when I get to put this in a studio I will have much more ability to play around with these settings. I may even let you see what you think can be done with it. Right now I am using renders to see if the body surface can be class B let alone class A as with the real deal. To be clear, I appreciate the advice from everyone here and will use it, when I can get my head around the different shut/panel/component lines. Getting a migraine thinking about it. Not giving up.
