With the advent of LED strip lights, a lot of new light forms are coming out now.
Been seeing a lot of this type of thing on the lighting websites.
What is your opinion of this design? Is it a fad or here to stay?

It's a for me!
I would like to see the quads on this one.

Re: Twisted Pendant Light
As far as light design goes, it's another winner. A lottery win with all these great lights.
Re: Twisted Pendant Light
quads, yes, but UV mapping this in SU would have been a lot of fun, I was not willing to have that much fun.
UVmapped in Blender.

Re: Twisted Pendant Light
What we saying... if unsofted in SU no triangles will appear?
Re: Twisted Pendant Light
That is the goal, but of course, there may be a few triangles here and there. Ultimately every quad is turned into tris by SU or Twilight, but the quads reduce chances of rendering artifacts and correct geometry shortens render times.
