Back to the cars for a while.

Post by Mike1158 » Wed Feb 08, 2023 11:29 pm

A small sports car/ For some reason the infinite plane will not accept the texture right now, perhaps something to do with the scale of the model. 100 times so supersized. As with a lot of these, I am checking panel alignment etc rather than rendering per se but the infinit plane is a sod an. no mistake.

Not sure if you are still working on this or not - but a trick I like to use with infinite plane is insert it (Twilight V2>Objects>Infinite Plane) and then I paint it with 50% grey, then I tweak the color to be juuuust slightly warmer and it tends to look nice in a rendering.

G'day mate,
Yes I'm still beavering away and on the old pc.

I cannot move on to the new pc to render because I cannot get the software properly up and running yet.

Hoping to get the hdri to 'paint' the infinite plain, it has worked in the past but this one does not play. {pssibly part of the equation is that during the build phase I scale up by 100 or 1000 so I get fewer of the false line/arc connection issues.

Scaling the hdri image (jpeg) is difficult to say the least.
