Alphabet inspired sketches
Re: Alphabet inspired sketches
Thanks Majid - I took a quick look and will also have a look at their video embedded in the video. In the images in their document, they have a small toolbar that appears as part of the tools. What are the 3 icons in that toolbar? I did not see it mentioned in their document.
Re: Alphabet inspired sketches
Ok, Do you mind sharing an image so that I could get what is that toolbar, please?
Re: Alphabet inspired sketches
It is the small toolbar in this perspective image.

Re: Alphabet inspired sketches
You can choose your desired assistant tool from the drop-down menu. This one is a circle in perspective, mainly handy for industrial designers.
Re: Alphabet inspired sketches
Ok but what I am asking about is the small black toolbar in the image inside the circle (the plus sign, something in the middle, and the circle with slash on the right). Sorry, I cannot get on my laptop right now so responding on my iPad. I appreciate you trying to help me.

Re: Alphabet inspired sketches
Aha, Sorry, I got it... Those tree icons,... They help you to move, hide or disable (Delete) the assistant tool.

Now I have to learn how to generate an assistant and draw vertical and horizontal straight lines. I have to get back to the tutorials and learn some more of the basics. It looks like a really good tool to explore some ideas before drawing things in SU and rendering in TR. I am not an artist or architecture but thanks to your examples I am getting some ideas in my head (some of them kind of far fetched

Re: Alphabet inspired sketches
OK - This is a horrible start - but it is a start.
Now I have another question. I copied the small squares (windows) but when I get to the last one on the right, I then wanted to go back and select all 4 of the windows and copy them down but I could not get the select tool to let go of my last selection. It kept wanting to rotate or do something with the last selected window. How do I get it to "let loose" of my last selection?
Again, not a good start but right now my emphasis is on how to use the tools even if the sketch is not that great.

Nice start, nice start...
So the question is about the "selection tool" and methods. am I right?
Also, I am doing the final touches on my book and hope to share it soon.

Re: Alphabet inspired sketches
Thanks but I see a lot of problems but right now I am concentrating on learning how to use Krita. As you have demonstrated, it is a great tool for sketching out your thoughts.
Yes, I could not get the selection tool to stop (let loose of the object). I selected the first little window (square) and then did a copy and paste with keyboard short cuts. Is there another way to do that in Krita?
Remind me, what is the book going to be about? When do you expect it to be out?
