any specifics on which card?
There's not really much you can do, honestly, it either works or it doesn't. :!

I tried the suggestion of disc health, nada.

Getting the opinion that somewhere there is a logjam.

I thought they were supposed to supply a system fit for use oput of the box.

can you give me some specifics? I don't understand what's happening.
per the name/number it should be a fast card.
My advice will be the same as when I troubleshoot my own card - be sure it's installed properly, be sure using latest driver, be sure windows has that new card set at the default vid card because it won't by default.
but I presume you've already done all that.
Be sure in Twilight's Options (Extensions>Twilight V2>options>options (yep, options under options, I know)>Denoiser>Auto or you can choose your card.

under NVIDIA's control panel (not NVIDIA's GeForce Studio, but the NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL APP in windows) choose Manage 3D settings and for preferred graphics processor choose "high-performance NVIDIA processor".
Then in Settings box below make sure CUDA GPUs is "All" and threaded optimization is "Auto"
