2024 and the Twilight Render Sunset

We at Twilight Render wish to express our enormous gratitude to all of our users and supporters over the last 14 years. After careful consideration, we are announcing that we are sun-setting Twilight Render as of January 1st, 2024. It has been an honor being a part of the architectural and visualization community for so long, and to have been an integral part of the progression of SketchUp over the years. We offer our sincerest thanks to all those who have contributed to our community during that time.

Starting on January 1st, 2024, we will no longer be selling new licenses for Twilight Render Pro or its associated AddOns. Our new and active users can count on our continued support via our user forum. Additionally we will continue to provide re-licensing for all those who have purchased licenses through our website. The forum and website will operate in a limited capacity until the end of year 2024.

Again, while we are sad to see this journey come to an end, we at Twilight Render cherish all those who have been alongside us for the last 14 years. We wish you all success in your future endeavors and look forward to seeing the bright future of architectural 3D visualization.

With SU2024, they changed the required Ruby version from 2.7 (which it has been at for the last 5 years or so) to 3.2. This is a pretty significant change among other things which makes the current release of Twilight Render incompatible with Su2024.

We have put together a new installer just for SketchUp 2024. You can download it here:

Important Notes: This is only for Windows users, and only Twilight Render Pro. We do not have the resources to update Twilight Render for macOS and will not be releasing an SU2024 version for macOS. Nor will we be releasing an update for Twilight Render Hobby.
Additionally, this installer will install Twilight Render to a completely different location than previous installs of Twilight Render. By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Twilight Render 2024.
This install is not compatible with other versions of SketchUp and so must be installed separately and only for SU 2024. Your other installations of Twilight Render for previous versions of SketchUp should not be affected.
