'dem spots...

...which show up with the "high+" setting but not the "low+" setting (of course, the nice brick bump in the upper left-ish does the same :`) are coming from where do you think?

No idea, but try with the presets in the Express > 4) Animation folder to see if they go away.

Hi tom,

Are you using an hdr sky? This showed up once on another user's image, a kitchen. I know he was using an HDR... I'm curious if there are issues with very low res HDR, or HDR with really bright hot spots, or something else.

Chris...no, physical sky.
Fletch...yeah, I'm assuming the pumpkin too: either directly or reflected off the chair (glossy paint?) as shura suggests. Just surprised I didn't see it until I did the final render at the high setting...and wished I had :`)

I'll play with it some more when I get time, thanks Guys.

Notice that every single one is on a sharp corner? Maybe it is the pumpkin, but seems a bit of coincidence to me.

Okay, sorry it took me so long...

The spots were indeed caused by the light inside the house: so probably leaking corners, Chris, but the corners are definitely all closed, so I'm guessing they show up 'cause the sun and sky are set so dark (.7 and .2)...though it didn't happen again on the latest WIP?

Fletch, I did use the tip and trick but wasn't strong enough so also cheated by adding a blue omni light in the tree casting shadows on the wall.
