Another Learning WIP from work

Post by Bob James » Tue Nov 10, 2009 7:04 pm

This has a long way to go, but I'm creating a scale model of the test cell at work.
The lights are in the wrong place, but are correctly sized in terms of brightness. In the final model all of the piping on the left of the picture will be replaced by a very complex set of pipes and valves.
Also will do the other walls and add all the light in the correct places.

This was done with 10+ 79/10000 (which got rid of the "sparkles")

This view of the south wall is pretty close to being done (lighting needs to be adjusted on the right corner): many miles to go for the rest of the facility.

do you have a light source inside those huge lights? (like a pointlight or something?)
if so, try the Shoji Screen material on the big round bulb shape that looks like a bulb cover/diffuser.
Or if you are rendering with Easy 1-7, try the 'fake lamp shade' material library...
