Further Study.

Post by Mike1158 » Sun Nov 29, 2009 9:47 am

Not had much time to render lately and not being happy with my modelling technique am leaving vehicles alone for a while. I will move on again when I have sorted a few things out style wise.

Gone back to looking at architecture, not being an architect, I have more interest in smaller properties and like to try going as small as I can without creating a different style of rabbit hutch. Something small only works for me if the proposed resident does not start chewing on the stair rail after a few weeks.

This render used 63 passes at progressive 04 and took 5 hours and 46 minutes aproximately. Comments welcome, if you do not like it, its ok to say so. I won't cry, much. Have a great week guys, cheerio. ;)

Probably you have already knew some of the problems.

progressive o4?

wood flooring seems wrong scale.

I understand the render requires a bit more depth, just getting a feel for how I want it to go. As for the wood floor being the wrong scale, it is as intended. I wanted to give the impression of a custom made wood block floor. Not sure if it is a success, probably in the eye of etc.

Lighting was provided by making the entire ceiling a 60 watt bulb but it was only to see where I was at the time, different now.

Still needs detail but I think there are signs of a result worth having. Possibly. Perhaps. I think I have to put in the personal touches now, flowers in a vase etc, otherwise it will remain rather sterile. This is not a completed render and I will leave it as long as I can. I am aware that I will not ger the higher standards of some here because I will not be leaving a render for the timescale of the pro's. I do like to try and improve though. Wardrobe doors will b e changed in the next version, I cannot get the material to work so will be looking to a wallpaper type of finish as an accent to the room.

It's comming along nicely... :^:

The floor texture seem off scale... :?

Also - it looks a little under exposed... Have you tried adjusting the exposure a little..??

Hope you don't mind, but I took it through a quick tone- and white balance adjustment using Adobe Lightroom... ;)
