2D People ? [High Quality]

Post by Stu » Mon Dec 28, 2009 11:52 pm

Anybody got a good source of high quality 2D cutout people?.......free is good but not necessary.

Non-fringing images...better than the attached 3Kids pic.

Thanks :)

Vyonyx has some nice ones for free. Just note that you can only download a certain amount per day but my memory fails me as to how many.

Hey Stu, try setting the transparency to 98...works to loose most of the fringe on my leaf pngs.

Check out www.3drender.co.uk . He has some beautiful 2d people in jpeg and png, plus all kinds of high-resolution entourage.

Thanks Guys.

And Tom [Hi. Mate!].....your talking about the alpha dial in the material editor?.....I found the transparency didnt make much difference to the fringing [until it became too transparent to look realistic.]

In the attached though the adult couple pic is looking a tad better...from Vyonyx....so seems like a better cutout job.

Stu, agree about the white edge on people cutouts... not good.

another tip - look at your render... compare grass color to a real photo. tweak SU mat. to be much darker/correct color to match  a photo of a lawn you like.

render will automatically look better... then when you post-pro some grass it will be easier/take less post pro.

Thanks Fletch,

I wasnt too concerned about the grass in this WIP and actually do have much better grass textures.

But I kid you not......the Client has specified artificial turf for here :).....probably should darken it up a bit!!
