Interiors WIP - Styles

Post by bytor » Fri Dec 25, 2009 8:02 pm

A couple of different illustrative styles for an Interiors WIP - which do you prefer, and why?

Thanks,
Bytor

I like the softness of the last... have you tried something like this?

Fletch,

Tried something similar (not nearly as good) with a night shot. Here is the original and then the comped image.

I think you did an awesome job for the night shot too. :^:
But sometimes a couple of mnior things could just affect or improve realism esp for this type of view.
If you look at the floor, a couple of stuffs were so perfectly sitted.
Or the poster on the farside, even with the hot light, it still lacks the thickness.
Or the lampshade a lack of traslucency to diffuse some lights to the ambience..etc
Like they said "imperfection creates realism". It's up to you to decide. :)

tHANKS D,

I know it's all in the little details......if I understand you correctly - I think we are on the same page as far as some improvements go. Elevate the lounge furniture off the floor a little, Add a frame with depth to the picture on the wall. The lamp shades are a different story - they are a "hydroformed and mirror treated diffuser". I will have to try and find out if they actually transmit at all - every image sample I have seen makes it hard to tell.

I will re-post when I geta chance to update.
