Bathroom Tests, Really!

Post by KnicL » Sat Nov 21, 2009 6:32 pm

For my second TR rendering I wanted to test out how reflections will show up with TR, especially beveled mirrors.
Bathwater's not to my liking... have to find some soapy foamy bathwater material...

Had to understand how the 'Background/Sky' settings work before I end up with something acceptable where the sky outside the window is actually reflected by the mirror when using Hemi Sky.

It's a little bit dark even with the sun. :)

Yea, I was wondering about why sun light doesn't light up the room more, maybe I'll play with the settings....

Have you try a hdr? It will be more effective. :)

That's the thing. Not easy to find good HDR files that will show up nice as an outside view through the window. Know of any good sites with useful through the window HDR views? most HDRs are for use to be reflected in objects.

Maybe a good tip: Lights - render times...
and this one: Light through a window...
