rocky, how do you open those drawers? is it the "groove under the bottom edge of the drawer face" thing?

I read about this overlay technic in several places but still would like to hear it from you :)
nice render, mate. but let me know , have you seen this :
http://twilightrender.com/phpBB3/viewto ... f=12&t=487
it is a bit faster I guess , than a complete render way (it tooks me about 6-8 min per each comlpete NPR render :) )

Yes, it is parallel projection (TL can do it ;) )
Also, almost every edge in that model is rounded and then the texture is carefully wrapped around those corners (I made the textures to exactly fit around the columns for instance). This adds to that "feeling" that there is "almost" something like displacement there as the texture bumps nicely on the "corners", too.

Gaieus, right its 2pt perspective i was thinking about. nice texture tips thanks.

Majid, i do remember seeing that but its a little too dirty and cartoonish for my liking, but otherwise very similiar. (except for render time) and i don't really get why he used three layers. besisides if you start with a cleaner render you can always add noise (filter) but its very hard to clean. ;)

WTF, i just did a test, is 2pt. perspective working now?????

oh, sorry Fletch, i haven't decided yet whether or not i will use handles. i've been looking around and if i find handles that inspire me i will use them. my wife really like grapes and vines so...
if i could find a small cluster of grapes for knobs and matching vines for door handles that could be cool.

i remember the 2pt. discussion we had now: http://twilightrender.com/phpBB3/viewto ... f=25&t=306
so it must be something new then?
