How can you render out edge lines? + inside the edge lines

Post by Umbrella » Fri Jun 08, 2018 4:30 pm

I have only figured out how you can render out the edge lines around the object, but not the edge lines inside the object.

My render (Only edge lines around the obejct): https://gyazo.com/2aea6bfc79e9d576184ee5a537239732

The sketchup project / the reality: https://gyazo.com/7f0501b0eddeeabb2970a407bea51538

I would be grateful for help, thanks in advance

How are you enabling edge lines? Are you using the Edge Line feature in the TWR material? Or are you using the Post-Processing overlay feature?

If you are using material edge lines, and each of those planks is a separate object, I would expect the lines to show up.

If you are using the Edge Lines feature in Twilight Material Properties, be sure the weld angle is set appropriately, and that any edges you want to appear are a 90 degree angle. If it's a sketchup edge that is coplanar/colinear then it will not render with Edge Lines. You will need to model each plank of wood.

If you use the SketchUp View Composite Overlay technique to get all SketchUp edge lines to appear over the top of your rendering, it will be easiest, and requires no material adjustment. Be sure you enable the Overlay feature before starting your rendering.
