Some colorful dragons...

Post by duo-matez » Mon Dec 07, 2009 10:56 am

hi there, I'm new to this forum, but maybe some of you know me as ''ultimatez 32'' over at scf. These renders are a some of my first twilight renders. The two blue dragons are rendered at Easy 04 - Medium Preset while the colorful ones are rendered at Easy 09, 15 passes. It's still cooking now. Enjoy!

P.S Top dragon is Rubber ball, while bottom is Milk

I certainly agree on the fun part. :)
IMHO, it's quiet diffcult to tell which is the rubber and which is the milk.
Love to see more improvements.

Were the Medium renderings allowed to complete? they look very jagged, which implies the AA pass was not completed before saving the image :totgm:

Fletch, yes, the medium renders were stopped before the AA starts, forgot why :|

If you do not let AA finish the pass, then the render is not complete.
I am glad you are having fun!

If you are using the SSS material template, using Easy 09 or 10 will give you most realistic results. but even Easy 03 Low+ will look pretty good. :) so if you are in a hurry, try Low+... in my experience, if you use SSS mat. template with Medium+ or High or High+, you will get good results, but the rendering will take just as long or even longer than just rendering with Easy 09... so... choose wisely.
