Cubic House - Work in progress

Post by WardNL » Thu Dec 10, 2009 10:01 pm

Hi guys,

Last week I purchased an interesting book containing hundreds of different houses. I'd like to try my hand at designing a house.
I'm trying to make a cubic house, mainly built out of concrete. The house is built around a garden in the center.

I'm no architect but I'm having a lot of fun!

This is cool, Edward. :^:
Try rendering with a preset from the "Alternative AA" folder. The resulting image will have some extra crispiness.

Nice!

For realism I would use more of a smooth concrete assuming that the form work used on the walls would be made of a plywood that has some sort of smooth finish on it. The rough concrete looks more like a stucco like texture that you would add at the end of the process.
