IES files and Red Carpet resources

Post by sgtslick921 » Sun Jan 05, 2020 7:31 pm

I am a registered user of TR Pro v.2 for Mac. When I select IES files for an IES light to place in my model, I have to navigate to the folder containing the IES files but have no idea where Twilight Render stores those on the Mac. Can any Mac users out there inform me as to where I can find them?

I also reached out several days ago about getting access to the Red Carpet resources section available to registered users of the Pro version but haven't heard anything. How do I get authorization and from whom?

Can someone please help?

Thanks much.

  1. Sorry for your frustration about upgrading your account.

Note: Twilight Render V2 Professional users, go here to upgrade your account.

Please feel free to try using the search bar at the top of the forum, also the "Questions and Feedback" area of the forum (where we are right now) has a thread pinned at the top explaining how to gain access to the Red Carpet Section/upgrade account.
  2. For Pro users (after you upgrade you will be able to see this forum) you can access several lighting components includings several with pre-loaded IES lights in them from here:

Any of the larger lighting manufacturers provide the IES file with their light fixtures on the webpage.
Visa Lighting is an example

Meanwhile, several IES files are provided with their light fixtures here on the forum:
Subject: 5 IES Spotlight effects (including SU model and IES files)

For Pro Users - (we are having a 50% off sale for Black Friday) you should definitely get the Lighting Components ready-made for Twilight.
