I have a hope to get a classic Porsche 550 Speedster with the same level of detail, full engine/gearbox and all fuel and electricals etc. This model is my idea of a progression of the 'theory' as a lightweight and no frills sports car for track and fast road use. I have now build about 800 cars in Sketchup top varying degrees of finish but mainly ed due to not quite being what I want. The chassis on this is completely changed from the ladder type chassis and body panels with the basic chassis and frame being extruded, bent and glued aluminium. Hopefully no rivets.
An idea of the detail level I want is this battery. It's almost finished.
Porsche 550 for the modern user.

Re: Porsche 550 for the modern user.
Great looking cool. How do you put the decal on it?
Re: Porsche 550 for the modern user.
Thanks gent's. The decal is done via sandbox and drape. Studio.
I'll run a short tut on the method I used soon.
