Re: Courtyard
lol garden master strikes again!
bet it was tricky setting up the plants? most of my trouble is with trees/plants. so hard to match the light.
nice work stu, post over at SCF for some more crits dude (if you can face it lol) but I bet you unbiased would look better such as easy 8 preset.

Re: Courtyard
Hey Stu, nice job as usual!
I've no business giving advice, but I've gone to using preset "10. Interior +" for everything...seems faster overall for better results across the board. Also found I can bump the hell out of many textures like the gravel you're using, just locking the bump to the image, and get some improved looks...?

Re: Courtyard
Thanks Tom.......Im more than happy to have your advice!
I'll try some more serious bumping but I find the unbiased presets and my computer dont always work harmoniously together.
Oli...the SCF?...been there..done that

Re: Courtyard
that last image is quite nice!
have you tried the hi-res texture of gravel we provided in the resources section?
in order for bump to show up at all, you must apply a material template first. For a good 'generic' template, try the "Paint>Flat" or "Stone>Natural", then apply a bump map or link to the image itself.
