Just a little practice. Put the scene together with some recent models. Saved the render as an .hdr
Post pro in Affinity. Still working to get my head around tone mapping

Re: Ladies Vanity
Have you tried ACES or Filmic in Twilight's Post Process section of the Render Dialog?
Subject: ACES vs Filmic : When do I use Filmic versus ACES when Tonemapping?
This video on "photorealistic" is about how important this topic is, and is very well made. Even if it's about another software, everything he says applies in Twilight.

Filmic or Aces? These new tone mapping algorithms are so powerful - Copper Cookware Scene

Re: Ladies Vanity
This might be something I would try - I concentrate on the direct sunlight hitting the floor, and boost that to juuuuust the point where it loses all color then back it up just a smidge. Same but opposite with the darkest point in the scene. It's getting there, but could even go a little further... wouldn't hurt to lose a little detail in the highlights, or now concentrate on where the sun hits the window blinds.

Re: Ladies Vanity
adjusted only the brights even higher
obviously this should all be done with the original rendering/hdr not the .jpg as done here.

Re: Ladies Vanity
Fletch, appreciate the info. Unfortunately can’t use the newer Twilight post processing as I’m on a pretty old machine. Have had to stick with an older version of Twilight. Have had lots of problems trying to update past the current version I’m running. Been trying to wrap my brain around Affinity’s tone mapping function.
