Ta mate, this is a model I imported rather than made, no windows. I just thogut I would see what I could get and as usual, I got caught up in it. Thanks to everyone with suggestions. The lamps will change a bit but the are literally a face rather than having any depth and are rather more complex forms than would be the case in reality.

I have another render runnnig now but it will not go for that long, I just added Sara's picture to the desk, no idea how it is doing right now as it's all minimised.

You folk rock 'n' roll. Thankfully not like I did earlier today. I missed my footing and skated down the footpath before hitting the snow/grass/frozen mud and tummbled onto my backside. As I lay there recovering, one of the cats staying with me climbed onto my chest and stared at me before saying 'WOW'..... Thanks mate, do you want feeding later?

This is the reason. :^: Use Fred's Joint Push Pull plugin to give 1mm thickness and delete the top (lid) of the jar if there is one, and they will instantly look 8-)

New glass with a double face and a cleaner profile. I must add the extra RAM I have before this pc gets too nuts on me as items within Twilight go missing like the Crystal finish for the lamps.

Mike, Very cool seeing your progression with this. :^: :rspkt:

Now for a few comments… keep in mind their not really critiques, more so personal preferences…. Really prefer the first images viewpoint. I just like the tighter view.. not sure why just find it more appealing to my eye. Also prefer the plain walls. I find the various wall treatments in later images a little to “busy”. Would prefer the ambient light to not be so overpowering. Would prefer the focus was more on the light given off by the lamps. Again these are just observations based on personal like and dislikes. I think your doing a great job overall with your experiments. :rspkt:

I know what you mean, and agree on the focus in the first image. Something I fight with when dealing with imported models like this, is that are usually 3ds max in origin, some very few in Blender format. The scale is off the charts weird.

This model weh I eventuall did a proper check, had a short wall 899 feet in length. I struggled a bit to get a view close to the original which is annoying but hey ho.

I also go (Quel suprise) for darker images because I am not an architectural render pretender. What you could call my images, even those that get close, is likely to be pot luck but I truly value the support and suggestions I receive. This hobby brings me peace folks and that is something we ALL need to find a way to get at over the last five years and on. I think one of the issues here may well be the lack of natural hdri.

Well busy, the expanded RAM pack and monitor cor my current system are both here and the new system is ordered. I only started saving up when I bought the current system so this has been a long time coming.

Peace to all folks and may you get everything you need with most of the things you want.

Mike

I will ask it here because it's something I remembered I forgot. Until I forgot I remembered it.

Is it possible to alter the temperature of an emitter? Is it the light unit that I have to change?
