LED wall, Virtual Production

Post by that.skpguy » Tue Feb 21, 2023 1:34 pm

Hey guys, I haven't been on here for a while, quite busy with work.
But I've been working on this small scene on and off for the last few days. I was inspired by the virtual production seen on "The Mandalorian", "The Batman" and most recently "1899".
Obviously, this scene is also inspired by Superman and Krypto

I have a version with the moiré effect on the wall, but thought this works better.

Thanks Fletch, it's a mixture of sandbox ground with PBR textures, plus 3dscanned rocks with procedural specular map to break up the smooth reflections, plus grass here and there. Simple stuff really.

Thanks Mike,
It took me quite a while to learn how to get the grounds looking natural. Though luscious grass still isn't my thing, as a matter of fact, I can't do hair and fur in general at all. I'm thinking of trying Scatter for that.
